Our tenants are singles, couples, families, the young, the elderly, able-bodied and disabled, employed and unemployed - we have housing for everyone.
We recognise that sustainable communities require a cultural and economic mix of households.
40% of our tenants are aged over 55 years, 45% of our tenants are female and 69% of our tenants are single people. Around 10% of tenants identify as being from a non-English speaking background.
PPHA's current portfolio has a variety of housing types to meet the diverse needs of the local communities in which our housing is located.
From one, two and three bedroom apartments and two to four bedroom townhouses, to self-contained studios and rooming houses with single rooms, our homes are available to people on low to moderate incomes.
PPHA operates across 6 municipalities: 61% of our properties are within the City of Port Phillip and 21% within the City of Monash.
PPHA tenants stay put. On average, only 20 properties become vacant each year and only around 90 vacancies occur in rooming houses. Some PPHA tenants recently celebrated their 21st anniversary in our housing.
